    Gabriel Lerner

    Co-Founder

    Gabriel Lerner graduated from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy with a B.A. in 2018, and from Peking University with a M.A. in China Studies in 2020 where he was a Yenching Scholar. He currently works at Bain & Company and volunteers at the Uyghur Human Rights Project. Gabriel is the co-founder of WeListen, an organization that facilitates productive political dialogue between liberals and conservatives.

    Sonia Thosar

    Co-Founder

    Sonia Thosar graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018 with a degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a minor from the Stephen M Ross School of Business. She is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, IL and has interned at Amazon in Seattle, WA and the Boston Consulting Group in New York, NY. She co-founded WeListen, an organization that facilitates productive political dialogue between liberals and conservatives. Upon graduation, she will be studying Film Studies in Europe as a University of Michigan Roger M. Jones Fellow before returning to the Boston Consulting Group. In her free time, she enjoys watching documentaries, re-reading Harry Potter, and talking all things film and politics.

    Sarah Wagner

    Program Director

    Sarah Wagner is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, where she focuses on racial equity, gender equity, and human rights. She previously graduated from UM in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, & Neuroscience and Linguistics. She is originally from Milford, MI and currently lives in the Ann Arbor area.

    Sarah joined WeListen in 2018, creating the first discussions dedicated to UM staff members and the Ann Arbor community. As the Program Director of WeListen, Sarah leads the effort to expand WeListen to campuses and communities across the country. In her free time, she enjoys promoting diversity initiatives and political activism, watching the Office, and spending time at the park with her dog, Bo.
